Daily attendance in traditional school environments is burdened by physical paperwork that causes administrative delays, record loss, and reporting lag:
Physical paper registers were vulnerable to wear, damage, and misplaced records across academic terms.
Administrative officers spent unnecessary manual hours aggregating daily teacher and student attendance for management reporting.
Lack of real-time visibility into daily absenteeism created delays in follow-up communications with parents and staff.

Methodology & Approach
Rather than waiting for high-budget commercial software, I pursued a practical, agile approach to solve the problem directly:
Conducted an operational audit of daily attendance routines from both the Teacher and Administrator perspective.
Mapped user permissions into strict roles: Teachers record classroom attendance; Admins access school-wide oversight, user management, and summary views.
Adopted AI-assisted software development techniques to build a lightweight, secure web application without requiring an enterprise software budget.
Deployed the system on a live cloud environment (PythonAnywhere) with secure authentication and database persistence.

The Administrative Officer views real-time status across classes, identifying missing submissions and immediate absences without waiting for physical sheets to reach the office.

Records are stored in a structured database, enabling instant lookup for parent queries, monthly reporting, and administrative record-keeping.
